Starbucks dropped the original Bearista reusable cups last November. The internet broke. Immediately. They vanished from shelves in what looked like seconds. Police were actually called to one store because an argument got violent. People lost their minds. Online resellers listed them for hundreds. Buyers fumed. It was chaotic.
But guess what. There is another one.
Pink. And Early.
July 13 is the drop date. This time it’s a limited-edition Pink Bearista. You won’t see the green winter beanie on this one. Instead, the bear sports a white baseball cap. “Starbucks” is written in light pink. It has a strawberry straw topper. It’s inspired by the “Pink Drink.” Which is basically a Strawberry Açaí Refresher with coconut milk. An OG viral hit from a few years ago. Making a new craze pay homage to an old one. Smart. Or predictable.
The cups will appear in select Starbucks locations across the US, Canada, Asia Pacific, Europe. Even the Middle East and North Africa. Supplies will run out. Probably fast.
There is a secret shortcut, though.
Starbucks Rewards Reserve members can skip the line. They get early access on July 9 via the online shop. So if you want one and you don’t want to fight someone in a queue, pay for the membership. Or hope your timing is lucky.
Two-customer limit applies. Just like before. To give more people a chance. Or to spread the misery evenly. Line up early. Or order online. If they sell out, you knew what would happen.
Did we really expect otherwise?
