Kris Jenner, matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner family, admitted to physically locking her daughter Khloé Kardashian in an attic during Christmastime to force her to help wrap gifts. The revelation came during a recent appearance on Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, where the pair discussed their family’s holiday traditions.
Jenner explained that she would purchase Christmas presents months in advance, sometimes as early as June or July. However, she needed help with the large volume of gifts, which led to her locking young Khloé in the attic until all wrapping was completed.
“You made me go in the attic and wrap all these gifts. You locked me up there,” Kardashian recalled on the podcast, to which Jenner laughingly responded, “Oh my god! Thank you for doing that.”
The incident highlights the pressures of managing large family gift-giving, especially when combined with other holiday obligations. The anecdote has resonated with many parents who also face relentless demands during the holiday season, though few resort to such extreme measures. The story illustrates how even high-profile families like the Kardashians struggle with the same chaotic realities as average households.
The family also maintains other traditions, such as hosting an annual Christmas Eve party and sending out elaborate Christmas cards. A past card from the 1990s was recently resurfaced online, revealing a misspelled version of Khloé’s name (“Kholé”), which she acknowledged with humor.
Despite the occasional mistreatment, Kardashian maintains a lighthearted attitude about her family’s antics, proving that even behind the glamour and wealth, the holidays can still be stressful and a bit absurd.
